False Advertising of product. BBB Rating "F" with this company due to complaints.

I purchased a mattress/topper from The Wool Bed Company on 12/11/2020.  Immediately upon receipt of it, the chemical smell belied their claims & advertisements that it was "chemical free."  I tried to contact the seller, who responded one time, saying merely, "There is no smell."  It stank of chemicals.  She ignored me thereafter.  PayPal sided with her, & closed the dispute.  ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.  It was outrageous FALSE ADVERTISING from a company with an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau for myriad complaints about not honoring their word & guarantees on various issues.  Many stated she was the rudest, most manipulative company owner they had ever encountered.  I agree.  Why PayPal chose to back her up instead of honor my request, i do not know.  It cost me over $700.00.  And apparently, i had no other recourse to reopen the dispute.  What a sham.

Paypals buyer protection is not a 100% guarantee of everything so the idea is you research your merchants before you buy and risk assess your transactions.

Paypal give you cover for non receipt of item AND item received but not as described, however you ordered mattress topper and that is what you received, paypal does not cover quality of the goods, thats between you and the seller.

If you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then you could try a chargeback via your card issuer?
