Estimated case resolution date keeps being changed

Hi everyone.  On June 25 I started a dispute with a seller for an item ordered in April that I still haven't received.  My problem is that the date of the case resolution keeps being changed...originally it was July 8, then it went to July 14 (today) and now, when I logged into my paypal account expecting to find that the case had been resolved, I see the date has been moved forward to July 19.  Can anyone tell me why this keeps happening, and when will the case ever be resolved if they keep pushing the date?

I've had the date for PayPal to resolve the problem 3 times. This was for goods ordered in February just as the pandemic started and not received. I was told the dispute would be resolved by the 20th August, then the 25th August and just checking now I see the date has been moved to the 28th August.  I've also complained about poor Customer Service but received no reply to that email either.

I have had a similar problem. My case was opened May 20th. Date for resolution has been moved many times. I was advised yesterday that a refund is being made. So it took 3 months.

So in that case I shouldn't give up hope and it even might be an early Christmas present.  Thank you
