I ordered a chair that looked like Wayfair! Should have known it was too cheap to be good I verified with wayfair and they said it was a scam their site was being mirrored. PayPal denied my claim. Today I received what I can only describe as as a plastic butterscotch life saver. I wonder what pay pal will say now ?

A dispute for an unauthorised transaction is telling paypal that your account was hacked and used without your consent to make that transaction.
This of course is incorrect as you did make the transaction.
Paypal would check IP addresses and devices and close the dispute if it was you that made the transaction.
Why didn't you wait and then open a dispute for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described?
You may have been able to contact customer services and explain you opened an incorrect dispute and they may well have opened a second correct one for you.
However instead you went to your bank and paypal states.....
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full#purchase-protection
You must choose whether to pursue a dispute with PayPal under our Purchase Protection program, or to pursue the dispute with your card issuer. You can’t do both at the same time or seek a double recovery. If you pursue a dispute/claim with us and you also pursue a dispute for the same transaction with your card issuer, we’ll close your dispute/claim with us. This won’t affect the dispute process with your card issuer. In addition, if you pursue a dispute with your card issuer, you cannot pursue a dispute/claim with us later.
So basically you opened an incorrect dispute and then went to your bank, both options would have negated your buyer protection.
