using Paypal to pay someone in Germany who doesn't have a Paypal account

I am having a nightmare, trying to pay someone in Germany for two items I won on Ebay.de. She has said she accepts Paypal, but the invoice only has bank transfer CIP on it. I have asked her several times to clarify this, and she is getting cross now. Can I use Paypal to pay directly into her bank? I have her IBAN and BIC. Also, how can I find out the exchnage rates Paypal will use for pounds into euros? Hope someone can help out there! Thanks

Hi there rachelmargaret,

There is no option on PayPal to pay directly into a sellers bank account. It sounds like this seller may have some restrictions on the types of payments they accept.

I would advise that you contact them directly to arrange an alternative or use the 'Send Money' tab to complete the payment if they accept PayPal.

Is it really so? I have the same big problem too.

I paid to a German seller CIP alias money transfer via Pay Pal. It really seemed it went thru´.

I got the Ebay message "Thank You for the purchase", with the order - and payment details. It also tells I have paid the item then and then (as I did - or believed I was doing).

Also, the program does not let me pay the item again., saying that I have already paid (as I believe I have).

But the seller has opened a case. She claims she hasn't got the money.

Also, there is NO sign of the payment on my Pay Pal account - nor my bank account.

WHAT TO DO?

Thank you
