Why did paypal use my chequings and not my visa if there was no money there?

I need to understand why paypal took money from my chequings when there were Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) and not my Visa like I thought it was supposed to.

I would also like to know about this. I got an NSF charge recently and now my bank account is overdrawn with $85 because PayPal attempted to use my cheqing account before using my credit card. I would like to know if it's possible I can be compensated for this or do I have no choice but to move on and pay it myself.

Hey guys I'm looking into this myself.  I'm going to call up Paypal and then my bank.  WHAT A HEADACHE!  In my opinion it's on Paypal for not delivering the service that it says it will give us.  Important info should always be upfront, not in the fine print (well if we're talking about good business practices I mean).

Just wondering if anyone had any luck with getting their NSF charge returned to them? I just had the same problem....thought the payment was going to come off my credit card like it usually does....what a headache!
