Im currently having issues when using paypal online.

I currently have 1 bank account that i use with paypal (A Basic santander account) which paypal takes money out of whenever i make a online purchase.

I also have a 2nd bank account which is left on the account (Santander Debit Card) This account has been closed for over a year now but paypal wont let me remove this from my account as I have tryed a number of times but gave up trying in the end.

Each time i try and buy anything online it tells me my card has expired yet my bank account is fine and has enough funds in it.

Has anybody else had this problem happen?

Paypal has been taking money out of my basic account for over a year now without fail so its never been a issue before.

Any info reguarding this would be greatful thanks

Anthony

When you pay a seller funded from your bank account it is never instant > paypal credit the seller and then paypal take the wait for your funds to transfer to them from your bank account.

This is so you get your item more quickly.

But ''normally'' they only take the risk of doing this if you have a back up card linked to your paypal account as well, so they have another source if there are not enough funds in your bank account.

If you ever have a failed transfer or neg balance then you will probably find that paypal will remove your usage of your bank account OR make you take the wait for the funds to transfer to paypal > seller via an echeque.

At the moment you seem to be ok but paypal are asking you to add a card to reduce risk to them.
