So I bought an item from eBay and its been over a month and it has not arrived. I've contacted the seller over a week ago now and they still haven't responded. So today I went to open a dispute with PayPal but the payment I sent them isn't even appearing in the transaction log. How can I open a dispute without the transaction ID? Is there another way to open a dispute? Can I use the eBay item ID? Need some help here.

Hi selson and spideral!
If you purchased your item using PayPal, the transaction is in the transaction log. The trick is to find it! I can definitely help you with that.
Click History and then change the start date to a date before you made your purchase before searching. Your transaction will come up, and you will be able to file a dispute from within the details of the transaction as long as the purchase was less than 45 days ago.
I hope this helps!

When I open my eBay account I try to open a paypal account but something went wrong and my paypal account didn't` go thru . On the same day I made a purchase on eBay and I paid with paypal. I only open my paypal account a few days after ,that`s why the transaction don`t show up in the history. I only have the eBay confirmation of the purchase made with paypal. What should I do ?
Thank you.

Hi spideral,
Your eBay account will show the auctions that you have won and are participating in, but your PayPal is the final word on whether or not you paid the seller using PayPal. If you log into your PayPal account by going to PayPal.com and you do not see a payment in your history, then you did not pay the seller using that PayPal account.
Do you have another PayPal account that might have been used?

Hi spideral,
I'm thinking, given the confusion in this situation, your best bet might be to call Customer Solutions. Click the Contact Us link at the bottom of any PayPal page. Once you get a representative, the two of you can look through the history to ensure that there is indeed no payment being overlooked, and then he or she can search for any other accounts.
