Pay Pal + ebay = Return to merchant and try a different payment method

Hello all, recently I bought an item on ebay, but pay pal said me that was going to be a confirmation call to my phone, and nothing was done, never received a call now my browser just display this message:

Return to merchant and try a different payment method

We are not able to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time. Please return to the merchant's website and try using a different payment method (if available).

How im supposed to fix this? I've already called paypal for help, and they said me there's nothing wrong with my account and that i need to wait 24 hours to try again.

so how to proceed to solve this problems ?  my account is okay my credit is okay too, i just didn't receive the calls there's another way to confirm that? or just by phone calls? 

this is really annoying, it's a shame i just want to pay my seller.

If you payment wont go thru its due to 1 of 2 reasons. 1. the payment was declined by bank/card issuer 2. the payment was stopped by paypals security system. if 1, then check that the card details are correct on paypal. also check you card hasnt expired. if this isnt the problem, phone the bank and ask for the online authorisation dept. they will till you why it was declined. if 2, paypal blocked it as they suspected it was risky or fraudulent. they cant override the system so no use phoning and yelling at them. try a different card if you have one. if that does nt work trying waiting 24 hours. if still no joy try the following: 1. verify your bank account if not already done 2. ask the person/company to send you a money request and pay directly through it 3. top up your paypal balance and try the payment hopefully this helps a little

well i called my bank and its all okay nothing is blocking me, called the pay pal of my country and its all right with my account  too, the thing is after that warning on ebay that i would receive a call from pay pal and didnt receive any, blocked me, and thats the problem, im still blocked, i already waited 24hours for some resolution investigation or anything and tryed to complete the purchase again and nothing, i've checked my credit card bill and there is U$ 400,00 to be charged and my seller received nothing. so whats wrong? and whats going on? thanks for the help guys.

well i've seen today my credit card was charged with the purchase value. so how do i proceed?

got the solution, gonna say here to help more ppl, you need to be registered on ebay with the same phone registered on your pay pal account hope that helps more ppl cause this was the only problem.

I can confirm that this phone solution works, under my delivery address I previously had my mobile number, but in Paypal I had both my home phone number and my mobile. As soon as I updated my ebay delivery address to include the home phone number as in Paypal, this problem was fixed, and I was allowed through to confirm the payment.
