Hi
Can someone please tell me how this Pay after delivery works??
I seem to have no option but to pay using this method - ALSO it states money will be taken from my BANK ACCOUNT when due to be paid - does this mean my Paypal account or my Bank Account !
Why is there no option to just PAY !!!!
Help please,
Paula

In the last 8 days i have had charges from my bank totalling £80 due to paypall attempting to take funds from my current account for purchases made using the 'pay after delivery' when i had no balance at the time. My paypal balance however was plenty sufficeint to cover the purchases that i had made.
I never elected for this option it is what default on the pay now screen. I am absolutely livid that paypal imposed this on me and to remove it (i later found) i had to deselect the option (on another page). Why on earth would such an option be set as default? If someone wished to subscribe to the 'pay after deliver' option, well let them tick a box to consent to the above; however i had no need of it and rather than it offer any benefit or protection to me, it has caused me huge anxiety and the loss of £80. I am appauled!!! None of my friends were offered this when purchasing the same item, from the same supplier at the same time, so why not treat me the same as them and then i would be fine!! Disgusting!

Re eBay; is PAD for all transactions, or do sellers have to specify this feature themselves?
Thanks.

PAD is offered to buyers who have a verified account.
On occasion due to their internal security this option may not be offered, this may be due to existing pending PAD transactions you may have.
I have an ebay account and don't know of any option to disable PAD, why would you, as a seller there is no risk as paypal pay the seller directly if the buyer uses PAD.Paypal are taking the risk as they are paying on your behalf and not taking payment from you for 14 days.
I have used PAD and it works well unless their security kicks in and PAD is not offered which can cause issues for you if you wish to buy but don't have the funds until payday or just want 14 days free credit.

Well there is an option to disable PAD very easily and I would NEVER use it as you get much better protection if you fund purchases with a credit card via paypal as paypals protection is never 100%.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
