I sent the last bidder an email stating a dollar amount that I was not willing to go under. She ignored the email and sent a payment. How do I refuse the payment or can the bidder reverse her payment.
Please advise.
THank you

Click on "issue refund" next to the transaction and if its not there click on the transaction and the issue refund link will be on the details page.
The fee you were charged when they paid will be refunded minus a 20p processing fee.

The payment was still in a pending stage and I never accepted it. So does the 20p stand for 20 percent? Is it 20 percent of the selling price or 20 percent of the total transaction which included fees

If its pending then you can't refund it, contact customer services and they should refund it for you.
20p = 20 pence as in money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but we don't refer to money as pence
Well we in the U.K DO!!!
And excuse me for not realising that someone NOT IN THE UK would post on the UK FORUM.
If you are NOT in the UK and are in the US then why not post in the US forum????????
I am not rude, i could not understand as you posted in the UK forum why you did not understand what pence meant.
May be its RUDE to post on the UK forum and expect us to talk in YOUR currency??
Oh and your welcome !!!!

Did you ever think that I could possibly have made a mistake and been in the wrong forum as in "UK Forum" obviously I did not realize that I was in the UK forum which is why I asked the question regarding pence. As a "volunteer" advisor you need to work on your people skills.
Finally I do say thank you when someone assists me something but not for rude service. Have a great day.!!!!

Well its not hard to select from 2 forums and when you asked re pence i did answer you saying it was pence with ? marks after it.
Those question marks denoted that i was confused re your reply. YOU chose to construe it as rudeness.
I don't need to work on my err skills at all, i am a volunteer that gives up my own time to help people, i do not work for customer services and my kudos / solutions speak for themself.
Again I was not rude just confused. YOU were the one interpreting my post as rudeness.
And i can't "have a great day" as the day is over..........try that over the pond.
Cheers.
