Ebay payment failed - twice...

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find out what will have happened to my bank funds... the story goes like this.
I bought a pair of trainers (sneekers - depending on where your from 🙂 on ebay. Ok - no issue there.
I then went through ebay checkout, logged into paypal via the checkout and hit 'pay' - great.
I then get an email from ebay saying - 'Action required - Your payent needs to be resent'
Please return to eBay to resubmit your payment again.

ok, so I first check it's from ebay - (and it was in the ebay messages in 'my ebay') so I follow the link and go through the process again. At completion of the checkout I get an immediate 'payment was not sucessful' and told to contact ebay customer support.
Now this had the bells ringing - so I check my bank - and guess what - my balance is minus BOTH ammounts (the 2 x payments for the sneekers and 2 x priority mail). About £120 😞 leaving my bank look sick and ill...
so I contact the ebay people - they say im to contact seller and ask for the second amount to be refunded.... and it will be passed onto some special team and Ill get a mail from them tomorrow...
Ummm problem is - There is NO record of the transactions in my Paypal - its not showing as paid in my ebay - the seller (who is very nice and understanding ) has checked and has had nothing from my email address - so where is my cash? 😞 Its gone from my balance - is not in paypal - not in ebay - and I cant pay the guy until it comes back from wherever!
So - my question is - does anyone know where the cash is held if the payments fail (or indeed WHY they fail as everything is fine with my account - bank etc) and how long doe sit take to go back into my balance?

Hi 2w0iwm,
If your payment did not complete it may be a case that your card issuer has put the funds in a holding account. This can happen if the funds have been requested for a transaction but the transaction does not complete. I would advise to contact your card issuer directly to see if they can provide you with some information on the debits.
If you are unable to get clarification please contact us by phone via the contact us link so we can assist you in locating the funds.

hi there, im having the same problem aswell. it says "Action required: Your payment needs to be resent "even though i paid 4 times already for the item but theres no transaction on my paypal account or in my bank account for this item so far. wat do i do help plz . tnx

Im having the same problem at the minute its drivng me bonkers! Can't figure out whats gone wrong.
