Hi All,
Have I missed something in the Paypal-verse?
When I buy on eBay I no longer have the option to pay with my credit card? I have a large balance which was a gift that I'm saving to buy something, and so want to use my credit card when buying a few little bits and pieces that aren't part of the gift, but the only option I have is my Paypal balance or an eCheque - I can't select any of my credit cards anymore.
Any advice much appreciated!
Mads

Hi Mads,
The verse that you've missed is in section 3.4 of the PayPal User Agreement:
If you have a Balance in your Account, PayPal will always use your Balance to fund your payment.

Could someone explain why paypal won't let you use a credit card if you have funds in your account? This is one of the reasons I really hate paypal and advocate not using it. Maybe if paypal could explain this it would make sense? My credit card offers lots of protection against fraud and other features that would really make it worthwhile.

I have not affiliation with PayPal (aside from using their services) but my guess is they do not want to pay the vendor Credit Card fees for the transaction. It makes sense they want to save money but it is also really annoying because I prefer to pay with credit card (to rack up points and for protection). Anyone else have other thoughts?
