So,,I have been with Pay Pal for 10 years and never had a problem..Now,,I NO LONGER use plastic and I wanted to know if you can use those pre-paid Vias's that you can buy at the drug store.. I DO NOT want to buy one unless I can use it. It has been such a hassle to use my bank account as e-checks can take up to 2 weeks to clear,,then I have to wait up to 2 weeks to get my stuff, because I live in Canada..
I have no issues with waiting longer for my stuff,,I want to know if I can lessen the wait by using a pre-paid credit card,,thanks so much!!

Hey there. I live in Canada too and YES you can purchase and use prepaid Visa and Mastercards to make purchases online, at a retail store, and variably at such places like hotels, though some places like hotels have a certain policy regarding prepaid cards. I buy prepaid cards all the time, because they make the process of buying items online much quicker and convenient compared to having to wait long for funds to clear like you've mentioned. But once your use the prepaid card, the merchant receives the money almost instantly.
For my selection of prepaid cards, I get the RBC Visa Gift Card which, although it is NOT reloadable, allows you a one-load of anywhere from $25 to $500 bucks and comes with only a $3.95 dollar fee for the card. However, I'm gonna get the BMO Travel Mosaik Mastercard Card from Bank of Montreal cause that card is reloadable and can be used for up to 3 years. You also don't have to be a client with the bank to apply for it, so I'd recommend you getting it too.

I was wonderign the same thing too.. when you pay for things through paypal how does the process work? Just so when I am paying for things with a prepaid visa it will be easier to go through it rather than going through it blindly. It would be a big help thank you!

I tried using a pre paid visa credit card and it was denied through pay pal. So any business that only deals with pay pal, it won't happen. It will accept it when you put the card number in but when you buy something it is declined. I also tried using it without going through my pay pal account and it was denied again. I think because of more people using the pre paid cards, pay pal should start accepting them or business should set something up to accept.
