Managing Inventory & reconciling Bank Account

We've been using PayPal for a number of years, but generally invoice and manage bank reconciliation through Quickbooks. Now that Quickbooks seems to be doing away with one-time purchase software (pushing monthly subscriptions instead) we're looking for no-cost or low cost means of managing overall business operations, inventory, (invoicing - which we know we could do in PayPal), but have everything tied together in a management system. What are other small businesses doing?
