I have purchased something on ebay and would like to use my credit card on file instead of my bank account. Is there a way to switch this ?

See previous answers. NO, you cannot set it up as primary. PayPal MAKES MORE MONEY by putting debit cards in first. Surely you can understand this??

There is no way to make credit card payments as the primary method of payment in PayPal. They specifically and deliberately have direct bank transfer as the primary mode of payment and this cannot be altered. Yes, one can pay by credit card per each individual transaction, but not as a general primary payment method.
Obviously this is because PayPal avoids paying the credit card fees this way. Most users are too lazy to switch to credit card (even though this gives additional protection to each payment), therefore PayPal avoids the fees per each transaction, thereby saving itself hundreds of millions each year.
Unfortunately PayPal does not pass on this savings to us, the customers, but pockets it. It is important to pay by credit card through PayPal for each transaction to gain the additional protection.
Hope this helps.

Hello, Im just wondering when using 2 credit cards as way of payments thru paypal, is there a way or setting/option to switch cc cards to cover eachother? Meaning, if a purchase costs $100 and one of my cc has only $40, will my second cc kick-in and make-up for the remaining $60? This would be an amazing help in unsure times!! Sometimes I loose track of the balances and would not enjoy being denied a purchase??? Thanks for any advice=)

Until today I have always paid for my eBay purchases using the credit card option. However, today the option to pay with my credit card does not even appear in the list. The only options are my checking account, Bill Me Later, and an eCheck from my checking account. I don't want to do any of those things. I want to use my credit card! What is going on??

Surely it should be "MORONS'". Always ensure that the apostrophes are correct before insulting corporations.

I do not have credit cards but I use Paypal that gets money direct to my bank saving account. I had used paypal few times with no problem. I had come up to one situation that won't allow me to pay Paypal without credit card. I couldn't buy a replacement battery for my laptop from Tawian. In E-bay I click on paypal to pay for it. It requires credit card to proceed using paypal. . How can I use Paypal if I have no credit cards??? I am stuck. I already have paypal account that has verified link to my bank account. Why am I not able to purchase the item on E-bay ?
