Alright so here's my problem. After I added a debit card into my account, I was charged $20 out of $25 for Internet Payment solution Purchased with Avs... Umm would I get my $20 back or is it gone forever? -_- Whats the point of even buying a debit card when it takes away about all of the money thats in our debit card...

Rawrasarous- I think I have an answer, but ultimately you're probably going to have to contact our customer service for a definitive answer. AVS is Address Validation System, which is what we use to make sure your credit card is valid, working, and matches the address you put in your PayPal account. First to make sure a card is working, we may sometimes 'charge' an authorization of a dollar. This charge is usually reversed back to a card within a few days at most. Then to validate ownership of the card, we charge a $1.95 to the card; on your card statement you'll have a 4 digit code next to PayPal. With that you log into your account, type in the four digit code, and that proves you own it. Then we return the $1.95 to your PayPal balance (since we can't return that to your card.
So normally you would see maybe $2.95 worth of charges, a dollar of which would be returned in a couple days. The only way I could see that much being charged was if it was ran multiple times. In the end, you're probably going to have to call us so we can look over your account and tell you exactly what's happening, since we can't give account specific information here on the boards.
