Only Used One Account, Says Card is on Another, Can't Use it.

So I only have a debit card, I can't just use another credit card. I've only had one Pay Pal account. I tried to update my email recently to my new one, and it may have had something do with my problem, but I'm surmising at this point. It says I have 0 Cards on my account, and when I added a new E-mail it acted like I had never been on the site before. I've only used pay pal a handful of times, but I don't ever remember having a problem paying for something. My bank account is linked to the very account I'm on, but for some reason my debit card is not listed. I have no idea how I've payed for stuff in the past if I never had a debit card(sorry I haven't used it in over a year). I'm at a total loss right now, no other accounts, one debit card, won't let me use it because it says my card is linked to another account, which I don't think is possible.

What do I do?

Hi Decko87, and welcome to the forums!

The most likely scenario is that you opened up another PayPal account at some point in the past to make one payment, and forgot about it. You'd be surprised how many people have done this. Many years ago, (you know, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) long before I came to work at PayPal, I did it myself. It's a seriously common occurrence.

The best we can do here is take guesses. A much better way to get this sorted out is to call Customer Solutions. A representative over the phone can take your card number, search and figure out exactly what the story is, and help you get everything straightened out. You can reach Customer Solutions by clicking "Contact Us" at the bottom of any PayPal page, and then "Call Us".

I hope this helps!
