Bank Account Not On List For Payments Anymore?

I've been using my bank account as the primary method of payment since 2002 without a problem, with a credit card as backup payment but in the last week or so when I purchase something on e bay the option to pay with my bank account has disappeared and it will only let me pay with my paypal account and credit card. I've looked through all the settings and my bank account is still active and set as the primary account but still doesn't appear as an option at checkout. Help please?????

Also experiencing this problem. In checkout my debit card/bank account shows up under "active", but I can't select it - it says I need to enter a new card to make the purchase.

Does this have anything to do with the card expiration? It doesn't expire for two months, but I thought it might be relevant...
