Yesterday I was trying to help a friend get started with PayPal. She didn't think she'd ever registered so we started from scratch, typing in her e-mail address, choosing a password etc.  But we were informed that the e-mail address was already registered but of course we didn't know what the password was. We asked for it to be e-mailed - an e-mail duly arrived but when we tried to proceed we were asked to verify by giving her Bank card details. This created a problem because my friend had recently lost her card and had been sent a new one by her Bank - and, of course, this bore a different number than the one previously registered.  So we couldn't go any further - can anyone suggest a solution, please ?
