diect debit not working

i created a paypal account and set up my bank account on the 10th october, it said it would take upto 5 working days for the direct debit instruction to be set up (today is the 5th working day) but when i try to send money it is still not working even though on my internet banking Paypal is listed as a direct debit. when i try to send money it says to pay i have to link a debit card, but when i do it says it is on another account which it isnt? so i cant send via bank acount and cant pay with debit card. what do i do now?

Have you EVER had that card attached to another paypal account even one that is closed or does a partner have it added to another account??
They do like you to have a card linked as well as back up in case instant transfer fails.

hi, none at all, no one has used it, im happy to have my debit card set up but its just not working

Think you will need to ring customer services and see why you can't use that card.
Click on the words "Contact us" at the bottom of paypal pages > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent.

My direct debit stopped working on 15th sept, and its still refusing to use it even though its my default payment method, paypal say its a problem with them and they are working on it, its been 8 weeks and counting with no fix date! so i wouldnt hold out much hope of getting a fix anytime this year.
