I keep getting this Message "We're sorry, but that credit card can't be linked to additional PayPal accounts. Please link a different credit card."

so annoying, this is the same card i've used and it's not working .

I had the same problem a lot of you had on this board and so I called to find out what the issue was... after I simmered down a bit.  After about a 10 minute hold time (not too bad), the perky lady on the other line told me the crux of my problem:  my card was linked to my main email address as apposed to the one I now use for PayPal (I'm not very organised, I know).  If there is a possibility that you may be using two different email addresses, than this is probably your problem.  If not, than you are back to square one.

I am yet another person that has that same exact problem.Never used my card before.Noone of my family members has access to it and all the forementioned possible reasons...Security is one thing but this is getting kind of ridiculous to be honest.

Having the same problem. Please tell us a way to find out what accounts a card is linked to.

I have tried ringing customer support and they were not very helpfull and just told me to find out if a family member has been using the card which i know they HAVE NOT!.

I got this today too.

I had a visa card 2 week ago and I made a acc PP soon. It's okay i have to wait for step " unique number "

But today I check my acc, it requi  me " add a cc or debit card " and i can't link my card.

Yep...another victim right here...I rarely use my pay pal and i only have one account which I made last year in Oct. and I actually only used it twice... So today i was gonna add some funds to my psn account and then it asked me for my credit card number, then i got this same message, looks as if it's a recent error, also i tried sending your support an email and it said my last 4 credit card digits weren't valid...wtf! it's not like i've never used this credit card on my paypal account, and i used my card outside of paypal normally!

Any help is apreciated!

Same issue here with a new CC from bank 2 weeks ago. and my paypal account is newly created.

At this rate, it seems like it's their system error.

If I still can't pay via Paypal in coming weeks, well, I'd choose to pay directly via CC from merchant.

Loss, but not big on me. It's on Paypal.

Same here. Absolutly ridiculous situation, my card expired, so updated to the new one (same number, diff expiry date) and get the card cannot be linked response- this was the SAME card that was set up on my account the previous day! After phoning paypal and being subjected to 10 minutes of menus to actually speak to a human, just get told that as the card had previously been set up on an old account I could not add it to this account- but its the same card that was set up on the account yesterday!!?! Just hit a brick wall response that no you cannot add the card as it has been used with an old account, and that I will have to get my bank to change the card number!! So because of some issue with paypal I have to change my card number, and then change all the other accounts that I use my card on- thats just madness! Sorry but this just seems like a crazy situation when the same card was working fine on the same account the day before. Asked to be put through to a suporvisor, only to be told they will just tell me the same thing. Still say I would like to speak to someone further about this, so get put on hold for 10 minutes... Finally rep comes back on the line to say she will transfer me to a manager now... But end up getting put back on hold... Gave up after another 10 minutes on hold. Overall on hold for over half an hour. This is the last of a long line of issues with paypal, during which I have seen some of the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Will be closing down my paypal account- their loss as they have made a lot of money from me over the years, but they appear to be leavingme no choice.
