bank card type incorrect

hI.

Having registered my nationwide account card to paypal I noticed that the type of card was incorrect.

Is there a way to change it?, as paypal say's it's a visa credit card while the card I registered is a visa debit card.

Hey there simon69,

There is no way to edit it on the system. The only thing you can do in this situation is remove the card and read it under the correct type.

PayPal will treat your debit card as a credit card on the system. What option did you pick when you were adding your card?

I have a new visa card and the expiry date has changed so I am unable to complete payments for my latest transactions. How can I resurrect this problem?

Hey there rghancock,

If only the expiry date has changed and the full card number on the front remains the same then all you have to do is edit your card information.

PayPal is  introducing a new and improved Profile to some customers. Until all customers are using the new Profile, there are 2 sets of instructions on how to edit a card on your account, so I have provided both below.

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Credit/Debit Cards’ under ‘Financial Information.’(Don’t see this step? Follow the instructions below.)
4. Click ‘Edit’ next to the card you want to update.
5. Enter the expiry date.
6. Enter your card’s security code and click ‘Save.’

Or

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘My money.’
4. Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Debit and credit cards.’
5. Click ‘Edit’ next to the card you want to update.
6. Enter the expiry date.
7. Enter your card’s security code and click ‘Save.’

If it's a new card number, just add the card on as a totally new card.

It is the first time I use the paypal,so I have no ideas about the card type. what is the type of the visa debit card ? Is it a mastercard or what? I have tried all card type with my card, why can't I pay for the items?
