Unable to add a Romanian bank account to paypal

As in this print screen http://prntscr.com/3k1133 there are no options allowing me to change to a Romanian bank account, only thing is this US bank... Common PayPal common sense, people need to be able to work with money, not to keep them blocked into your garden. Please any info on this issue so that I can withdraw the money safely.

Due to differing banking laws / regs in differing countries, paypal has to be country specific.

You can add a UK bank account or card to a UK paypal account.

You can add a Romanian bank account or card to a Romanian paypal account.

really?! may I ask where can I add the Romanian bank account when the ONLY option that I have is to add a US bank account...?

Welcome to the Community Forum!

I can confirm that at this time, it's not possible to add a Romanian bank account to a Romanian PayPal account, but you can try adding your debit card connected to your bank account. If you would like to withdraw money, you can withdraw to any Visa card registered to your name.

Even if that card is for an account in romanian currency? My paypal account is made in US and has USD. Will I be able to link a Debit card for the account i have in a bank in romania, account that is in romanian currency?

I'm glad to confirm that you will be able to add the card connected to your Romanian bank account. Here's how you can do this:

1. Go to https://www.paypal.com and log in to your account. 
2. Click Profile near the top of the page. 
3. Click My money. 
4. Click Update beside ‘Debit and credit cards.’ 
5. Click Add a Card. 
6. Select the card type and enter the required information. 
7. Click Add Card.

why I can't add the romanian EURO bank account and card to my existing paypal account?!?

is a bit wierd and maybe more awful ... what's the solution?

Hi there,

I just created my Romanian paypal account and I have added my card, issued for my romanian bank account in euro. 

Can you confirm that is I receive money through Paypal I will be able to withdraw directly using my card?

And if so, how much time would it take from the moment the payment is sent through Paypal until I will actually be able to withdraw the cash?

Hello Anca,

It will take around 2 business days for your money to be available in your bank account. There is a 2 euro fee for each withdraw transaction, though. Once the money are in your bank account, linked to your credit/debit card, then you can immediately go to an ATM and cash out.

It doesn't matter in which currency you withdraw your money from Paypal, your Romanian bank will automatically convert the money into your local currency (Leu)
