Receiving payment in dollars

Hi,

Someone in the US needs to pay me in dollars and I am based in the UK. She said, when she enters my e-mail address to send payment she gets the following message: "Email Address: Please enter a valid address in the format name @ domain.com"

Does this mean I need a .com address to receive payment from US? I don't really want to have to set up a new account, is there a way I can receive payment from US using my .co.uk address?

Thank you

No you don't, i have a co.uk and receive them fine.

I think she has made a mistake spelling your email address, send it again.

But if you are accepting dollars make sure your account is set up to receive them.

Also why can't she just send you £'s? All she has to do is put £'s in and at the end of the payment process it will tell her how much in $ has been deducted from her funding source.
