I can't add my bank account.

Hi,
Everytime I try to add my bank account I receive this error message:
"We were unable to process your bank account registration at this time. We apologise for the inconvenience. Please try again at a later date."
Talking to paypal support just provides me with generic advice on adding my account.
I know how to add the account, and I have tried the 2 different methods that support have suggested, but still it does not work.
My bank account has never been linked to another paypal account.
If somehow paypal could tell me why I receive this error, then I could do something about it. But at the moment, the only answer I receieve is telling me how to add the account (which obviously I know how to do, else I wouldn't get as far as receiving the error!)
Any help would be great.

Well its been 4 years since this thread was created and its good to know Paypal still isn't competent enough run a functioning website. I've gone through **bleep** for the past 2 days trying to do a SIMPLE account link that EVERY OTHER WEBSITE performs daily. Thanks for making me regret signing up for credit, Paypal. I hope you fix your malfunctions in time for my first payment so you won't enthusiastically slap me with a late fee, which I bet will function flawlessly with no errors whatsoever.

Here is what I did
1) Clear cookies and cache (I dont think this actually fixed it)
2) On the very bottom of PP Site it says go to Classic PP Site, then try and confirm your bank account instantly.
Mine worked right after going to classic PP site

Hello, I am having problems adding funds to my wallet from my bank account (which shows as Confirmed on its status) and I am also unable to update my cards or add any new one, all I get is errors.
I am really, really upset as I have tried to contact Paypal regarding this issue for almost a week now via Twitter and I have not even received a single response yet.
This is happening after cancelling my direct debit from my bank in error. Now it looks I cannot reestablish it again. Any advice will be welcome!

Im having a problem when adding my bank account details to my profile. When I do, i get this error message-
We were unable to process your bank account registration at this time. We apologise for the inconvenience. Please try again at a later date.
I did add the bank details to my account a couple of days ago, but removed it as the bank account was locked at the time, but now its not so I want to add it again.
