I'd like to transfer roughly £2000 GBP from a UK paypal account to either
- an individual OR
- my US Paypal account (to then pay the same individual)
I'm trying to clarify all charges before proceeding but it's pretty confusing!
Am I correct that there is BOTH
- a 3.0% conversion rate fee on top of the currency conversion (see 'Fees' >'Additional Fees')
in addition to the
Which makes for 6.4% fees?!
Help... would it be easier/generate less fees to move the funds from my UK paypal accnt to my US paypal, and then pay?
any advice apprecitaed--many thanks!

Hi there ts_B,
The fees involved would be the sellers responsibility, if you are paying a merchant in the US (cross border) generally the fee involved would be 3.9% + $0.30 USD (not an additional 3 %).
If you have the funds in this UK account balance already then you would be better off sending the funds directly from your UK account as even if you send them to your own US account first you will pay a currency conversion fee.
Hope this helps!
