Friend sending money via paypal/credit card - security?

A friend wants to send me some money via Paypal.  She wants to use her credit card to do this.

I wondered if this is possible and if so, how long will it take for it to be available in my bank account from the day she makes the transaction.

How does it work, I am not too familiar with Paypal, I have only ever used it for purchasing items from Ebay.

Will I have to pay any fees for her transferring money to me from her credit card via Paypal?

Hope you can help.

Hi there Vickimarie,

If this person sends money to you, you will be charged a fee when the payment is received in to your PayPal account. Even if they send the funds to you as a 'Gift' payment, you will be charged a fee as the funds are being debited from their credit/debit card. For more information on this, you can click the 'Fees' icon on the bottom of any PayPal webpage.

I will advise that the funds should appear in your PayPal account instantly. You will then have the ability to withdraw the funds to your bank account. You have two options to do this. The standard withdrawal option takes between 2 and 3 working days and there is no fee applied to the withdrawal. The new quickdraw option gives you the ability to send the funds to your bank within 1 and 2 working days and there is a fee of £5.00 GBP applied on this.

I hope this information helps,

David.
