Hi,
My account has been debited $5,$20,$50,($75 total) by this company called Facebook Ireland Ltd. I did not authorise these payments and i have initiated an unauthorised payment refund claim.
Apparently I am not the first victim ("https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Subscriptions/Facebook-Ireland-Ltd-Fake-paymente/td-p/486884?pro...") I do not understand how Paypal still allows the company to recieve payments through it.
Kindly look into the matter.

Parece que todo se resolverá. Despues de poner la raclamacion, Papal me notifica que se devolverá el dinero. Han sido muy rapidos.

Had the same problem myself unfortunately the @Report unauthorised action@ section did nothing at all! Didn't even open an investigation and I don't believe my email was even sent! Anyway tried ringing Paypal (pretty much useless on the 0800 number) and first two phonecalls told me to contact the company (has anyone found out how yet cos I couldn't). Anyway after about two weeks of this crap I started RECEIVING calls from Paypal (but on a different number) they eventually helped but only after putting me through to the wrong department, hanging up on me when I insisted they do something etc! Eventually they confirmed that despite earlier phonecalls they still had not cancelled the 'contract' or started an investigation. Having consulted Citizens Advice I then insisted they prove a 'contract' even existed and what it entailed and that I had recieved no 'services' from said contract! Next thing |I know my account was repaid and I've not heard from them since! Hope this helps! I do wonder though what type of 'companies' Paypal are willing to deal with though if even they don't know how to contact them!! Scary thought!

I posted my experience a couple of months ago but what I failed to mention was it wasn't my bank account that lost any money it was my Paypal account that ended in arrears! (My bank account had no funds fortunately and as I hadn't used it in awhile was also suspended, effectively closed)So it ended up being Paypal out of pocket (as they paid up before the transaction from the bank was confirmed) So basically Paypal only rang me because they wanted their money back which as I pointed out I didn't have, and didn't see why I should! Because of this is why I went to CAB who then told me to ask them for PROOF OF CONTACT which miraculously culminated in them ringing me back the NEXT day to inform me that they would refund my Paypal account (as a courtesy) In other words they HAD NO PROOF, but they ONLY cared cos THEY were out of pocket NOT me! PS all the people that I spoke to on the phone were all also Irish...coincidence??

It's still happening in 2016. Facebook Ireland somehow managed to set up a billing agreement for ads without my knowledge and took over $500 from my bank account. Have lost all trust in paypal, especially since they couldn't give me an answer to how this scam could be done so easily.
I got a refund, but there is no way for me to be sure this will not happen again. The billing agreement function is a major security concern.
I'm in Scandinavia by the way.
