Sold an item on eBay. Got a message from buyer to send him my PayPal address (strange in itself) so he could transfer the money. Then I got 2 email from what claimed to be PayPal saying there was a transaction but the funds will not be transferred into my account until I provide a tracking number. I thought since it's a high value item (£2000) it might be the case but the email addresses rang the alarm bells. One was from confirm_reference@consultant and the other pay_pay pa_uk@in. There is no record of the transaction in my PayPal account. Has anyone else experienced such a thing? Any input would be appreciated.
