where is my money?

i initiated a withdrawal of £605 from m paypal account on tuesday 8th at 0755 this money has not reached my account, it is now the 10th, paypal have failed to transfer the money in the time frame that they state, i paid £5 for a 1-2 day transfer they have exceeded the limit and the money has still not reached my bank account yet an ordinary transfer that i made on the same day has reached my bank account, so what has happened to my money? and will i get my £5.00 back?

Yesterday  i was told twice that i would get a refund of the £5, today i was told that as the money had been transfered within the timeframe so i would not get a refund, what a bunch of liars

We withdrew £7500 on 8th May at 8am too - paid £5 for express and the money still hasn't turned up. We've made several withdrawals since then which have arrived.  

 

After speaking to Paypal they say there was a problem with the withdrawal system on May 8th in the morning and it has effected lots of customers. Their engineers are investating the problem!!

 

In the meantime they have been completely unable to tell me where my £7500 is and when I will get it - basically they have lost it and don't know where it is!!!

 

They told me they will keep me posted when they find out where it is.

 

However in the meantime I am £7500 short and have no idea when I will get my money

I also used the wire transfer (£5) service on Tuesday morning about 7.30am.

I've used tyhis service since then and the money was in my account the same day.

From how it all reads here this is clearly a paypal problem.

I called paypal yesterday and was told it was my banks fault, called my bank and they told me it wasn't their fault and the money hasn't reached them.

It's now Friday morning and guess what............ it's still not there!

So where is the money of everyone who made wire transfers on Tuesday?

It wouldn't be so bad if someone from paypal left a message telling us the problem and that they were fixing it rather than telling us it's the banks fault and we have to wait 14 days before we can do anything.

Annoyingly we are all in the same boat. As everyone banks with different banks it would seem unlikely that it is a problem with all banks. I have phoned and e-mailed continuously and still get the same messages.

We are looking into it, it is a problem with the bank, it is with our technical department...etc.

I wonder how many people this is affecting and how many businesses won't be able to pay their wages this week..

I am about to phone paypal again for the 15th time now. I don't know what good it will do but I can't just sit here and do nothing! To be hones with you guys I have got more information about this problem from this post than paypal!

 If I get no joy with them (which I probably won't) I am going to be speaking to trading standards as paypal are in breach of contract.

I will post again after I have spoken to them to let you guys know if I got anywhere.

I finally got through to someone who speaks English as a first language!!!

She told me that they only found out last night that there was a problem with the withdrawals on Tuesday morning!!! We will not have to wait the 14 days for them to investigate and they are looking into it now and there will probably be a 2-3 working day delay in receiving our money.

It took them long enough to admit that there was a problem and that it isn't our banks. I just wish they were honest with us in the first place.

Well it looks like there is some light at the end of the tunnel finally!
