I have the same problem - it's my first time using PayPal, not for selling but receiving money as a host on Airbnb and I have payed 5$ to withdraw money earlier and NEVER received money on my bank account (15 days) even though my payement status says: completed, while the lady on the phone from PP assured me that "my money left the PayPal facility":-D.
Pay Pal, where is my money?????
I''ll never use this service again, what a mistake!

When I made a withdrawal from PayPal yesterday I was pleased to see that PayPal said the funds should be in my account within 2 hours. That had stopped the “rip off £5 charge”!!
I wasn’t going to argue that if I make a transfer from Santander to NatWest (even on a Sunday) that the money takes about 5 seconds to show!!
BUT SAME OLD PAYPAL – NO MONEY AND SAYS PENDING.
MORE LIES ABOUT NEEDING TO REVIEW FOR SAFETY!!!!!!!!!
All these delays can only mean that they have cash flow problems so beware. I do not know if the safety net to Bank customers also applies to them or not.

I think we should complain to the BBC watchdog and have someone who is the head of PayPal to be forced to go on there in front of Ann Robinson and say why are they holding out money every time for any amount when we try to withdraw it to out bank accounts

Money for transactions from me still pending from last weekend even though they withdrew the cash from my bank account two days ago.
If this is the quality of service these days i am not impressed.

it would be even faster if you offered on eBay listing that the buyer should send the payment with bank transfer it would be faster than PayPal as they would be send via faster payments though i would open a second bank account and not use my main one. But Ebay would probably removed your listing as it would be breaking their rules.

Phew i got another email from PayPal auto email saying
You recently requested a withdrawal of funds to your bank account
Dear xxxx,
You requested that the following amount be withdrawn to your bank account:
Requested withdrawal amount: £98.78 GBP
Bank account: Halifax x‐xxxxxx
Transaction ID: xxxxxxxxxxxx
Funds will take up to 2 hours to appear in your bank account, but may take longer, depending on your bank.
As set out in our User Agreement, withdrawal requests may be subject to review by PayPal to help maintain your safe use of the PayPal service. As a result, it may take longer than the estimated processing time for your withdrawal to reach your bank account.
Yours sincerely,
PayPal
I only r quested to withdraw my funds on the 7th of September so pretty good result for me..

PAYPAL YOU HAVE GOT TO STOP HOLDING BACK OUR MONEY. I have just spoken to the Financial Ombudsman who apart from a lot else he said they are inundated with complaints about PayPal!!!
A lot of us are running at least part of our business on eBay and you are causing us all cashflow problems as when we draw our funds it is because we need them and we expect them to be paid to us immediately just as they would if we took money from our bank account.
None of us is so stupid as to actually believe the absolute rubbish about security – STOP RIPPING US OFF by holding onto our money.
Does Paypal have financial problems? Maybe they are the next bank to go bust but the UK Government will not bail them out.
PayPal, you charge a load more than if we take payment via our PDQ card machines and eBay (part of same company) forces us to accept Paypal so why not be content with making millions out of us sellers and do the right thing by us and pay us on time.
I made a withdrawal Monday for just under £500 & another one this morning for £150 and both are being ILLEGALLY held by you!!!!!!!!!!
