Did you not get the email then? Normally they send an email.
But as per my post above if you have the 72 hour hold then it will release dead on that 72 hours unfortunately.
Did you withdraw the funds as soon as the buyer paid?
If so then that is often what triggers it.
What happens is that when a buyer pays you it is never instant > paypal CREDIT you the funds and then wait for the buyers payment to clear from their bank account to pay them back again.
So if you withdraw the funds straightaway paypal sometimes put a hold on it to give the buyers funds time to play catch up.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Normally 2-24 hours in the UK, although of course sometimes it is much quicker.

No, PayPal are doing this to a LOT of sellers now. They'll tell you it's a security feature which it clearly isn't. It's to keep hold of the money for interest purposes.
Expect to receive your money either after EXACTLY 24 hours, EXACTLY 48 hours, or EXACTLY 72 hours.

Yes quite normal. Mine normally clears between instantly and about 6 hours so hopefully you will get it soon.
The only time its released on a deadline is if you get an email to say that its a random security hold of 72 hours and then its released dead on 72 hours.

A way to find out if your funds are going to be withdrawn instant or if they'll take 72 hours is to go to:
More > Sitemap > Withdraw money.
Attempt to withdraw some money and check the time it states before submitting your withdrawal. If it says it'll take 2 hours then it'll be done instant. If it says 72 hours it'll be held.
The withdrawal feature on the main page states 2 hours no matter what so the above is the only way of knowing how long it will take before actually withdrawing.

This has happened to me several times now at great inconveniuence to me - Paypal give me the usual nonsense about a security check but I don't buy any of it - they are keeping money to earn interest - think of the size of Paypal and the amount of money in it's system - if they hold onto that for an extra few days - its a lot of money!
I have argued with them several times as when I call them - they can easily verify me - just like the bank can, to ensure the withdrawl is legitimate but they say they cant as its automatic - its rubbish!!!
When I withdraw the money its because I need it for something - its outrageous!

Well instead of crediting you instantly and you ''sometmes'' have to wait a few days when you withdraw those funds maybe you would prefer paypal to make you wait the 5-7 working days it takes the funds to transfer from the buyers bank account instead of crediting the funds to you in advance??
