Money taken from bank account, but I have credit in my Paypal account.

I have just logged in to my online banking to find I am overdrawn due to Paypal taking a payment from my bank account, even though I have over £60 in my Paypal account.

So I have now incurred a £12 bank charge for an item of less than £7 because of Paypal.

I have tried to remove the bank account, but a message says that I cannot as I have a payment due, but again that payment is less than the balance in my Paypal account.

What do I have to do to rectify this?

Do you use pay after delivery?

As PAD is a scheduled payment then it only works with a bank account.

So if you want to use another payment method ie funds in your paypal balance then you need to turn PAD off.

1.Log into your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk.
2.Click the COG SYMBOL 'SETTINGS' near the top right of the page. (spanner thing next to log out).
3.Scroll down to 'Payment Settings'.
4.Click 'Pay after Delivery',
5.Under 'Paying after delivery is my preferred way to pay', click 'Turn this option off'.
