Cant add new card

Hi, I recently followed the guide online to add a new account to my paypal because my old details were about 2 years out of date.

I added my new details to the account and was awaiting the identidy stage(depositing 2 amounts in my account for validation etc) i did this on the 26th May.

Since then my bank has sent me out a new card with a different Card number, and i cant delete the original bank account because its still awaiting me to add the 2 deposits that appear in my bank statement... Problem is, its been over 4 days now and I haven't received them either.

How do i delete/stop the 'Add Bank Account' process from my old card details, and Add the new cards details i have?

I know that the 2 cards have the same sortcode and account number etc, but when i'm at the 'Add the 2 Digits from your statement' part, the last 4 digits on the card im trying to add is incorrect(my old card) if that makes any sense 🙂

Hi there waiteycardiff, 

Firstly just to clarify, your bank account & card are classed as 2 separate payment methods.

Your bank account is added with the 8 digit bank account number & sort code and your card is then added using the full 16 digit number across the front of the card.

You can continue with the bank account verification process as this is separate to the new card that you have received.

Here's how to add your new card details:

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘My money’.
4. Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Debit and credit cards’.
5. Click ‘Add a Card’.
6. Select the ‘Card Type’ and enter the required information.
7. Click ‘Add Card’.
