Adding money in different currency

How can I add GBPounds in my account whose primary currency is euros? I want to make the transfer from an account in the UK, which is already in GBP.

Click on 'details' next to paypal balance > select manage currencies from under the pop up box > select GBP from the drop down list and add as a receiving currency.

I have done it already. But once I topped up and sent GBP from a UK bank account to PayPal Europe bank account, it converted the amount into euros. Though, I transferred pounds so as to have pounds in my account.
