2hours/24hours/72hours

Hi all, this is starting to become an issue with me and I'd love if it someone could explain.

I am not causing an issue or looking for anyone to argue at all.

I'd like it just simply explained.

Over a week ago and before that I took 2 hours for money to be withdrawn into my Paypal Account, then 24hours. I've had a few instanses where it has taken 72hours, of to which I do not agree on but...

I have money in my paypal that needs to be in my bank account today, however it is taking 72 hours again??? Why is this and it's not a fun experiance.

Probably this explanation from paypals help pages states it best. I find most times it is instant and if not it completes within 24 hours, i rarely get the 72 hour hold      >>>

Why is my withdrawal on hold?

Withdrawals can take anything from 2 – 72 hrs to complete through the PayPal system. Generally they will complete within 2 hours however we will occasionally hold a withdrawal for further review. To provide one of the safest online payment services our internal security system reviews every transaction before it's released.

This type of review can happen for various reasons. For example, you may have received a higher-than-usual amount of money into your account, you may be logging in from an unsecure network or you may have made changes to your account profile recently.

Once our review has finished your withdrawal will show as ‘completed’ and will be processed to your bank account as long as the review did not turn up any issues.
