adding bank account to verify

Hi,

Sorry if i should have posted somewhere else so frustrated searched on here and the web.

when adding my bank acc. for paypal verification i enter sort code name of bank shows then i add bank account number and hit the button it comes back with

 The PayPal server is currently experiencing some difficulties. Please try again later or contact Customer Service.

Now i want to know if it is indeed experiencing problems

or if it's just a general message that appears when for example maybe I have an old pp account with this card.

The only things i find on the web are that people have similar probs

No way to tell.  You can check the Live Site Updates for system issues, bulletins and other related info or you can contact customer support direct.  PayPal utilizes multiple servers, it's quite common there can be an issue for one person and not for another because not everyone connects to the same server, it's all based on traffic demand.

You may want to try deleting your web browser's cookies, temp files and history.  Then close your web browser, reopen it and retry.  If nothing changes, you can try customer support direct for assistance and/or questions.
