Unauthorised email address on my Paylpal account

I received and email today from Paypal saying that i had added the following email address to my paypal account, which I havnt.

How do i remove this person from my paypal account

Based on the information you provided in your post, I am a little wary as to whether the email you received is genuine. When you log into your PayPal account through your normal means (by typing www.paypal.co.uk into a web browser) and view the email addresses on your account, is the email address showing there? To check the email addresses on your account:

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Email.’

Also, genuine emails from PayPal will always address you with your full name on your PayPal account (e.g. Dear John Smith) and will never use a general greeting such as “Dear PayPal Member”. If you have received a non genuine email, I’d recommend forwarding it to spoof@paypal.com

I have received one this morning also, the email was sent to my correct email adress, but the email has Dear x x [a mans name i do not know] adding his email address to my paypal account...but it is asking me to confirm it is my email address..

the email looks genuine..have compared it with a paypal email received which i know is genuine

3. Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Email.’

A genuine email from PayPal will always match what is happening in your PayPal account exactly. If the email address is not showing on your account, I would be very confident that the email you received is not genuine. You can always forward any suspicious emails you receive to spoof@paypal.com if you’re in doubt.
