Credit card expiry message which won't go away and stops me using any cards

I keep receiving a notice when logging in to PayPal that my credit card has expired.

This is despite the fact that I updated the card expiry well before the card actually expired, and if I went into the card details it shows the card was valid until 2020.

So I deleted the card from my account. Yet I still get the same message about the card being expired even though it has now been deleted.

The other symptom of this issue is that none of my linked credit cards are available to me as funding sources when I pay for goods.

So far PayPal support has been less than helpful. Firstly sending me links on how to edit or delete cards - something I'd already done several times. Then when I followed up on that I got a message confirming that all the cards in my account are active. Which again is my point, I know that they're active, and so why can't I see any as a funding source and why do I still get the expiry notification for a card I've since deleted??

Has anyone seen this issue before? Is there an easy fix?

@Stones7

Have you confirmed those cards with the 4 digit code that is sent to your statements when you add them?

I certainly had confirmed the "expired" card, I even reconfirmed it last week just to see if that was the problem, with no luck.

I am confirming another card in addition now to see if this at least reinstates a card I can use.

Of course none of that fixes the issue of the card expiry notice. But it's worth a try. Thanks.
