Can't confirm new email address. Confirmation email doesn't reach mailbox.

I've tried several times to add a new email address, but the confirmation message with the verification link  sent by paypal to my new email address never arrives.  I've checked my spam and other folders and html settings (as advised), but no joy. I've also checked by primary email address.

I had the same problem when adding this address to my ebay account - and in the end, ebay had to add the address themselves, manually.

Any suggestions / advice would be much appreciated!!!

Many thanks

This one resolved itself eventually. Some time  later, I received three additional emails which do contain the confirmation link. Seems the system sends one email with nothing useful in it then hangs about for ages before sending the actual confirmation email.

My tech guy just figured this out.  Ebay isn't accepting free email accounts anymore.  YOu have to have an email account that is attached to a web site.

He had to open an account for me connected to his site and then arrange to have them forwarded to my free account and now I'm back up.

same here, but my problem is 2 fold.

1: slow, takes hour to get it to email..  (i have my  own remail server, so can see it live)

2: nor help page just for this one feature."like how it works" ? in details?

examples:

can i have more that one active, or if one fails (bounces) does it to to the next active acount? my guess NO.

after a long time, i get a flood if mails.

then i confirm one,  and log in, and its not confirmed.

my wild guess, is i need to get a new email confirmed ,them delete the other old one, like at other banks,  (sure)

but why is it so slow,  (my band width is 50mb/sec. tested) and doing tests on my server is fast)

not a good experience.
