I was put on a temporary hold on ebay sales through paypal a couple weeks ago.
I still want to sell and will continue to sell on ebay, but I had some pretty basic questions that I could not find answers to on the boards.
I figured I would share my experience with this hold to help others decide what they want to do.
1. Will ebay hold the shipping cost on the item?
YES
The shipping costs on all my items were held until the payments were released.
2. Will paypal automatically give me the payment when postive feedback is recieved?
NO
I had three leave positive feedback and only one was released for feedback.
3. Will paypal release my payment if no positive feedback is recieved?
YES!
I had to contact Paypal for 9 of my 12 items delivered for the payment to be released, but they DID release the payments. The post office "lost" two of my items, that will be another post . Here is what I did to get paid:
1. click help on the the top of the paypal page
2, click contact us on the bottom right of the next page
3. under "find answers here" click "Email Us"
4. topic--> sending/recieving money
5. subtopic--> payment status
6. Ask them to release the money on your ebay item or items.
7. Wait for the autoresponder to reply to your email address.
8. Reply to the autoresponder message with the ebay items and tracking numbers.
9. All of my payments were recieved the next day.
I waited 72 hours after delivery confirmation for all my items and recieved all of my payments.
Well... not the two lost in the mail, but you know what I mean.
I hope this helps out others that plan to continue selling. I have found out it's easier to to contact paypal, than it is to beg your customer for positive feedback that won't guarantee payment.
