So let me open by saying I love Pay Pal.  I have been doing business through you guys for the better part of since you came into existence for various reasons.  I have an account that handled my old e-bay business, and since shutting that down I have gotten a personal account, as well as having set up a few friends and family through the site to make buying online idiot-proof for the less than tech-savvy bunch where I call home....  Shoot, it just seemed natural that when I needed an account to handle anonymous donations to my writing project that you guys would be the place to go.  Right?  Right guys?  Right?

Right...?

No, apparently that was retarded on my part.

Okay, so we have this problem where I decided to open the account under my pen-name.  Strike one against me, as I guess I should of just made it my name.  In fact, after we made the first transfer of the donations into that account, I decided to make sure no issues came up down the line that I'd file a change of name with Pay Pal and just explain y'know, hey, my bad...  All the stuff attached to the account (By the way, read this part carefully!) is actually in my name already, so it's kind of obvious that it's not an account belonging to the name I put, but instead belonging to me.  There's no real way to explain that in the process of filing for a name change, so instead I just sent in several documents showing my name, including one which was a royalty check made out to the pen-name, endorsed to me.

Now, we'll go into my next boo-boo.  I decided that since I had this fat stack of cash sitting here waiting for me to actually do something with it, I'd see if I could spend it from the account without transferring it to my bank account, because all I needed money in the bank account for was paying my rent this coming month.

BAD IDEA.

Pay Pal decided that because I spent money, I'm suspicious.  I mean, who spends money through Pay Pal?  Amiright?  Account limited!

They also reversed the transfer of funds from pay pal into my bank account to cover my rent, meaning I'm kind of **bleep**ed with the whole 'having a place to live' thing as well.  So this limited account can't even get to this forum hilariously enough; I'm having to use this account to access it.  What exactly was my crime to prompt this?  I made an online transaction.

How do I fix it?  Oh, well okay...  That's not that bad.  I can verify that it's my account.  Alright, verifying bank account...  Easy enough, bank account statement.  Verify address?  Easy enough, proof that I live here, proof that the account name gets checks here...  Pie.  Proof that this fake person has a social security number...  Well, I have a social security number, and you guys let all of my data work for every other portion of the form...  Oh, but not this one.  Huh.  So...  What do I do now?

Well like any good lemming I went straight to customer support to get myself an answer!  I sent an e-mail, and the e-mail kindly suggests when you send it that you call them to get a quicker response.  Good idea, says I!  This being my means of paying my rent so that I don't have to be employed while writing, and all...  I called, and was basically told that because they seemingly never finished reading my request to change the name, (Which I thought was a side-thing, not a 'DO THIS OR LOSE YOUR HOME' thing) that I can't change the name on the account to someone with a social security number until the account hold is cleared.  I also can't clear the account hold without changing the name.

On the bright side, in 180 days they'll clear my funds, (but not the account hold that's stopping me from using the account...  What?) leaving my rent free to pay for six or seven months from now!  Whew!

I'm aware that I took incorrect steps here, but it's very plainly obvious what's gone wrong and how it could easily be fixed by any human being taking a few seconds out of their day to apply reason and logic to the situation and go, "Oh, I see.  Huh.  Well that's crazy!  *fixes the name*  Don't do that next time!"

It's also worth mentioning that while I have limited accessibility it won't let me remove my bank account and put it on another account.  I blame the pending reversal of the transfer to my bank moreso than the account limiting, but there ya go.

Long story short:  What do I do now, and does anyone know of a service that I can set up a donation account through and actually access the money?  I'm supposed to start getting a lot of money in the near future and if I'm not going to be allowed to touch it here I can't really trust it to come here.
