Cannot Remove Limits, Lawsuit

Recently, I decided to sign up for a Paypal account specifically for Ebay purchases. During registration I was led to believe that I would be able to transfer money indefinitely, without a problem. Specifications of account limitations were not made clear, nor were they prominent.

Recently, a sale from Ebay has deposited a sum of money into my account. I also have recently won an auction. However, when I log on to complete the transaction, I found I was unable to due to limitations placed on my account because I am unable to link a credit / debit / or bank account to my card. The account that is currently in my possession does not work with Paypal, on top of that it is a joint account, and therefore cannot be confirmed with my bank. I have a moral opposition to credit card usage, and refuse to apply for a Paypal Mastercard.

Obviously, my situation is problematic. I have been unable to find any resolution to my issue. If the money is in my account, it belongs to me, and thus I should be able to spend it however I wish. However, with the limitation on my account, I only have half of my own funds available to me. This is a scam, and unlawful under the Business and Professions Code in my state.

Consequently, I have been contacting separate law firms about this, many of which have stated that I have a case under these conditions:

Severe Mental Distress

Conversion of Funds

Breach of Contract on Numerous Occasions

Violation of Business and Professions Code

Obviously, I am severely distressed that this company lacks the initiative to tell users that they will have such strict limitations imposed on their accounts, and that their money will be "rightfully" (haha) stolen "withheld" if they fail to produce a link to a debit, credit, or bank account - or sign up for a credit card.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Can anyone offer suggestions.

Kind regards.
