Can't verify, joint bank account?

So I can't have my own paypal account apparently if my wife already has one. Tried to verify but paypal won't let me as wife has same bank account. Oh well, too much trouble to get another account just for paypal. Anyone else run into this problem?

That's exactly why I'm on this message board!  Searching for some help on how to verify a PayPal account I've used for years that now says I've exceed my limit of payments with an unverified account.  My husband has an account and is verified with our joint bank account so I can't use the same one.  I've emailed and tried to use the automated help-bot but have gotten nowhere.  This is very frustrating!

Me, too. Same issue- Called Cust Service- What a joke- gave me some garbage about how the new policy 'is designed to prevent fraud and keep the system secure'. I use VIAS to pay my account adn I DID have a problem with a tranaction in Paypal.

Guess who resloved the matter... VISA!!!- That' why I use them. Ebay is useless, Paypal is useless.

At he end of htemonth, some system 'might be' in to resolve the 'one bank account, two users; issue "IF THE BANK AGREES".

The only Thing you can do is get a new Pay Pal account with a different Credit credit and a different E-mail address and start all over again.-(yep, that's what they recommended-) or... get a Pay Pal Credit Card....  Ifyou use Vias, They will geive you a new card with a different number, but it takes a week to get- Their CS reps-(at Visa) are supportive but don't know what to do with PP.  The new card can be linked to your old history at VISA-
