Tried to add funds from bank, taking a long time and it's not showing up in my account history

okay, a few days ago i started my account and confirmed my bank account, i clicked on ADD FUNDS to put $ from my bank into my paypal account. but i hadnt confirmed my email account until today, so i didnt recieve any confirmation emails.

the thing is, the add funds transaction isnt appearing in either my paypal history or my bank account history, making me wonder if it even registered in the first place. does an ADD FUNDS transaction even show up in account history or it the history just for buys/sells???

i may have just done something stupid like forgetting to click on the submit button at the add funds screen, but in case i did, i dont want to attempt to add any more $ to paypal until im certain that either the addfunds transfer i did is in progress right now and just taking longer than i thought, or that it didnt work at all and i need to do it again

is there any way to check to see an ADD FUNDS from bank to paypal in in progress? is it supposed to show up in history!

Easiest way to find out is to call PayPal Customer Service.  They can tell you if there is a pending transfer or if it did not go through.

My advice would be to set up your backup payment method as your bank account.  This way you can make purchases and then it will debit that amount from your account.  This will eliminate the waiting time for transfers.

And yes, it can take up to 3 or 4 business days for a transfer.  Kinda crazy I know, but I have had them take this long in the past.

I wish mine took 3 to 4 days, I've had mine take up to 6 days up until recently. Now I was told it won't be available for use until august 8th... Unfortunately I put this transfer through on july 21st and they took the money out of my savings account yesterday and apparently I'm not allowed to use it until august 8th... A word of advice, just get a card from you bank account instead...

Hi, I also tried that this evening.  It seems that they have to deposit some money into your checking account using the information you gave them first to verify that you are indeed the owner of that checking account.  I guess it takes 3 days for verification and I hope that I receive an e-mail to tell me when that is done.  I don't know how the rest works whether they w/d your cc billed money or just verify that you have the funds available.
