Help! Money in pending balance??

My money has been held in a pending balance and I don't know why. I have not made a transaction in over 2 months. The exact message on my account page is: "From now on, money you receive will be temporarily held in a pending balance. To learn more, please read our Payment Holds policy." I have read the Payment Holds Policy but as I have said I have not sold anything in over 2 months. I have never bought anything either. I wanted to ask for help from PayPal but I could not find how to contact them. I've tried looking in the help section, but none of it seems to apply to my problem. And the automated help service, Sarah, hasn't been helpful either. Does anyone know what I should do?

Well your not alone.....The same thing has happened to me. I've sent two seperate emails to customer service with no response. Im afraid Im gonna have to call them...yckk  spending time on the phone with Jaheeb....

I am totally P.O.'d with paypal. I met all their requirements. I have a 59 feedaback score have sold over $1000.00 worth of items in two years. Most in the last 6 months.  I have 100% feedback rating with 5 stars never had one complaint not one dispute because I bend over backward to refund and to make the buyer happy and today I got the message that from now on all of my funds will be held for 21 days until further notice. I even have a bill me later credit account that is active and current.  They held my money last month as well because they said my feedback was not high enough as a seller. 

 

What really irks me is that they are doing this after telling me as soon as I have a feedback score of 40 as a seller they will remove the 21 day hold. Once I reached that hurdle they slap this indefinate hold on all future funds until they decide to take it off. 

 

Last month they put a hold a customers payment who paid by check for almost 30 days. They would not clear the payment. I had to ship the item out without any confirmation of funds received because the time factor would have made me look like I didnt ship the item for A MONTH. 

 

THEY SHOULD BE PAYING ME INTEREST ON ALL MONEY AS WELL. No company can get away with holding peoples money this long for no good reason and keeping it without paying interest.

I have complained to the BBB in which they have ignored completely. So now I am complaining to the FTC. I cannot take this. They are just downright rude to me and as far as I have heard to others as well.  They should not be holding our money for any reason. It is ours! They are acting as if it is theirs.

I agree, I think its absolutely STUPID that they hold OUR money, we pay them their fees, we pay ebay their fees, and OUR money should be OURS as soon as we get it, we shouldnt have to wait a month to be able to use it

 

I just sold $50 worth of stuff on ebay and I have an internet bill thats going to be late because I was depending on that money to pay it with, If I'm charged a late fee or if my internet gets turned off I will be calling customer service and speaking with Punjab and it wont be pretty lol

At the bottom of the PayPal page, click "contact us". On that page it gives you a search field, navigation bar on the left, and on the right, help options. The last option is "call us if you can't find an answer" try calling them. Their call time ends 12a weekdays CST & 10p CST on weekends.
