Confused about a payment Transfer

I recently transfered money FROM my Paypal, back to my Bank account.  Paypal is telling me the transaction is complete, but my bank account isn't showing the money I transfered.

It should be 154.96  once the paypal 52.26 transfers ....




Why is  Paypal telling me it's completed but it is not showing up in my bank???

I have the same problem, except my situation is a tad different. I tried paying for an item online with my Paypal account, it said that the transaction was completed, ect, but the money I was supposed to pay did not get deducted from my bank account.

The clothing store also contacted me claiming that I did not complete the payment, even though I sent them the transaction ID.

I just wanted to inform you of my situation so you know you are not alone. I think Paypal is going through some problems or something.

Any kind of US bank transfer takes 3-5 business days. All the complete status on PayPal's side shows is that our end of things is finished.  But it still has to move through the banking system. 

 

In CajunCham's situation, the transfer to the bank was initiated on a Friday morning.  That would give the system enough time to start the process (complete from our end), but it'll still take a couple of business days before it shows up in the bank.  And the weekends don't count. 🙂

 

For CNguyen, did you pay via eCheck?  That's the only reason I can think of why the bank transfer wouldn't have completed and the seller wouldn't have the money, yet would show 'complete' on our end.  Or there's a payment hold on the seller's end which has nothing to do with you anyway.

 

At this point, I'm hopeful that these situations have resolved themselves by now.  If not, feel free to give our customer service a call so we can review your account with you.

hey andy,

 

im a new user like cnguyen. so i purchase something online with paypal, then my paypal account says transaction complete. so paypal has paid off what i purchased to the seller, but how do i go about paying paypal? does it automatically get deducted from my bank account or do i have to add funds into paypal to pay you guys? i have seen nothing in my bank account deducted so far.

 

another question. everytime i want to confirm my email...i click confirm and it says an email will be sent to my email address, but i never seen any email show up. very confused. thank you!

gaara184-  Sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you.  Yeah, if the transaction says 'complete', then it's been paid for.  Depending on the funding source, it either came directly from your credit card or we're waiting for payment from your bank account.  So sometimes, we'll pay for the item right away then wait the 3-5 business days for the transaction to clear from your bank.

 

As far as confirming your email...I do know that some email clients have issues receiving emails.  You may want to check your spam filters because it may be hiding there.  Otherwise, give us a call and we can try and work around the problem.  You may also want to contact your email provider so they can check your settings and see if anything's being blocked.
