Just received a message from paypal to say that skype has received payment for £39 for a 3 month subscription from me. I have not been on any skype and am worried they have access to my account. Please help!!! I've checked my paypal account but no money has been sent as yet.

Think this is a common scam............don't click on any links.

Do they address you as Dear Member/user etc or Dear your full name eg John smith??

no I don't think so I've just removed it and reported it as spam x

Yes but did they address you as Dear Member / User etc or

Dear you full name eg Dear john Smith??

If they did not do the latter then it was a spoof.
