in total over 2000£ pounds has gone out of my paypal over the last couple of weeks, could i get any of this back. as this was not me?

You have given 0 information so your best bet is to either file disputes for unauthorised transactions (if that is what they were) OR give customer services a call to sort things out, good luck.
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
