Hi all, I would be extremely grateful if you could help me out.
I have (about half an hour ago) fallen victim to a phishing email, entering my email and password on their spoof website. I realised my error about 30 seconds after doing it when it asked me to enter my card details - which I thankfully did not. I immediately changed my password, and tried to remove all cards/bank accounts from my paypal account. However, with two I was unable, as there is currently a 'pending transaction'.
Following this I rang up one of my banks and cancelled my card, however how do I protect the security of my bank account and ensure no money is taken? I have informed paypal explaining the matter, but is there any way I can cancel this pending bank transfer?
Many thanks
Sam

Hi there samj91,
Regrettably there is no way to cancel a pending transaction, we can however place a limitation on your account with a case like this to ensure no action can be taken on your PayPal account including payments made.
If this has not been done I would advise that you call us by clicking on the contact us link at the bottom of any PayPal page and we can review your account further.
Hope this helps!
Siobhan
